Wow....things have been busy in our household. Not that having three kids, two dogs, three cats and living in your mother's house isn't chaos on it's own. The RacDad and I are signing a lease on our new apartment literally as we speak. It is very exciting to have the prospect that after these last 7 long months, we are finally getting to have a place of our own again. It is going to be an adjustment going back into an apartment, but this one is perfect for us.....I hope.
The RacDad gets to talk to a surgeon next Tuesday about the DeQuervain's in his right hand. He had a cortisone shot a few weeks ago and it just hasn't worked 100%. So after more than a year of dealing with the pain, he wants to finally have it permanently fixed.
Poor Little Man has had an ear infection that hasn't cleared up since December. We tried everything from breastmilk to chiropractors. After 7 rounds of antibiotics, the doctor finally got us set up with an ENT. Little Man gets tubes on Wednesday. I hope that he gets the relief that he very much deserves.
Peanut is now 4 months old. She is 24.5 inches and weighs 14 lbs. 2.5 oz. She's so big and only gets up once a night....most nights. She smiles so much and is very expressive. I love babies so much! Peanut's favorite place is in her jumperoo. She loves being up and watching the bigger kids run around and play. She's growing up so fast.
Sweet Pea is busy with Girl Scouts and having friends around. She is becoming quite a lovely young lady. She got her first 'bra' this week. The RacDad handled it very well....no talk of towers and motes. She is very excited. It's basically a short cami, but it's exactly what she needed to feel like the young lady she's becoming. We also had a chat about 'the change' because there are girls in her class that are experiencing that part of being a girl already. Oh my.....I don't know if I'm ready for my baby to grow up. But again, The RacDad is doing very well with all of this. I'm proud of him.
As for me.....I'm still recovering. It's been a long process. I can do almost everything I used to at this point, but my strength is still just not there quite yet. I forget this somedays and over-do it, but then I try to take it easy the next day so I don't make it worse. I am keeping up with the busy schedules of my family. I am anxious to get on with the next big step. While I have loved spending so much close time with my parents and grandparents, it will be nice to have a place to call our own again. Once we get moved in....I am going back to work. So, brace yourselves because you're going to hear more 'car talk'. I'm getting back into the automotive industry...just part time. I will still keep up with all of you twice a week yet. I look forward to growing this blog and learning about all of you!
